Most Annoying Thing at High School matches & tournaments

It happens more than you think. Especially with good an honest coaches. My college coaches yell at the ref when we are stalling to show that we accept calls both ways even when it may be crucial. The coach shows a sense of maturity when he knows that his wrestler is competent of a higher quality and is choosing to make the call inevitable

 

Fair enough, but that was hardly the case in the matches I referenced. He had a team point taken after a win for a wrestler giving a thumbs up to his bench. And the DQ he asked for was for a 'slam' that the ref didn't call.

But! As soon as Lil' Jimmy appears to be in trouble it's, "How can you let him choke out Jimmy like that?! It's illegal! Ref! Pay attention! He's choking mah kid!"

Over the years especially in AAU have seen this one too many times even a mother entering the mat! Too funny!

What I hated the most was being a team to arrive early and picking out a place to sit down in the stands and as the tourney went on it seemed to get smaller and smaller because other teams fans would decide to sit where our teams stuff was at... Find a spot with your team..

I'd like to add to this and say that switching refs every few matches is terrible too. Inconsistent because... well it's another set of referees making the calls! One or two refs per dual meet please. The referees can't possibly be that tired!
