Single A Sub-State Winners?

Folks, Humboldt will win state tournament. I've said all year that they have the most talent. Bradford is easily best player in A. Great team and amazing crowd. Congrats to our Lions for a great season and good luck to the VIkings in the boro!

 

Getting ahead of yourself.They are a tough out.But remember Union city beat them a couple times I believe and in the championship of district,had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter but missed free throws.And South fulton played them tougher than the score.So,they are good.But can be beaten

Does anyone know what's up with lake co? I seen they won and from what I've always seen in previous years they are always good. But a 7 win season? Is that legal it it does coacht gave something screwed up? Nit downing them at all just seems out of place to me. Regardless is hate to run into them next week.

 

Also remember theyy had to forfeit some games/Beat Halls by 20.Beat Union city when it counted.Beat a AA Liberty team that is probably going to stste in Double A.Played Dyer co twice ,which is in the AAA state tournament.So they have played some larger schools,And in a tough district with Greenfield,Union city.Humboldt,South Fulton and an improved Bradford team.Most of the games they lost were due to fouls on Devon Jones most of the time,other than maybe the Union City games.And they beat a good MAHS team tonight.They will be a tough out if Devon and Zay stay on the floor.Wouldnt look at their recore and think it's an easy win.

Anyone would wanna draw LC with their 7 wins! Play Dyer Co twice...Liberty twice...Middleton...TCA....MAHS....oh and did i mention Humboldt, UC and the rest of 14A???Watch out there's a lady in the house! 3 for 3 for lady B! What a great game! Ranks up there with "the shot" against Booker T! Guess it was worth the drive to Mtown! All 14A Championship sounds fun

About tonights game with MAHS.Shame one of the teams had to lose.Back and forth.One team looked like they were going to win and then the other team.Zay played great.Lake Co fell behind about 9-1 to start the game but stayed within distance the first half,down by 5 at the half due to MAHS making a prayer 3 pointer with about a second left in the first half.Lake Co missed about 8 free throws in the first half but Dominic Kimble hit 4 long three pointers.Second half was back and forth..Zay probably had about 35 points.Devon played well in the second half.Lake Co could have won in regulation but Zay missed the front end of a one and one but did make the second to tie the game and overtimeLake co had a 5 point lead in the second overtime with maybe a minute and half left but MAHS came down and hit a big three and made a stop and tied it up for another overtime.Taylor played well for LC.Down by 3 points at one time with maybe 30 seconds left,was fouled on a three pointer and the 10th grader made all three.Sat beside Penny Haraway and about three of his buddies and they were racing about coleman and saying one of the best games they had seen.For a team that doesnt have shooters,Lake Co probably hit about 10.three pointers and so did MAHS.Just a great game.Could have gone either way

Yea Zay Coleman not being a Mr Basketball nominee is a joke too! Maybe on his 3rd trip to the boro, as a starter, he can get some recognition and be Mr Basketball his Sr year? Goodnight long drive! GRATZ LAKE CO!

Why did they forfeit some games?

 

Had a player that lived in Lake Co.Drove to Dyer co for two years while still living in Lake co which is legal.Supposedely moved in with his mother at an Uncle's house in /trenton and enrolled at Trenton for 4 days and played 2 games for Trenton.Then came back to Lake Co and Lake co coach called Trenton to tell them he had enrolled.trenton was fine with it.But he knew he couldnt come back to Lake Co without sitting a year because he never mover to dyer co.So supposedely he told Trenton they had moved.Then came back to Lake co and since a move was supposedely made,would be eligible.But he never mover to Trenton the whole time so had to forfeit the Liberty,Middleton,Halls wins etc.Trenton also had to forfeit the two games he played for them.Thing is.He could have really moved to Trenton for those 4 days and made a move back and been eligible.Or waited 1 full year and been able to play after Christmas next year,his senior season.Very fast and more of a defensive player.in basketball.And would have really been a stud in football

He should be.Glad he's getting the chance to go back.I think him and Bradford should both be in the running next year.

The Range, nothing illegal here in LC. lost 6 of 8 seniors from last year's state tournament team and struggled throughout the year. The boys have stepped their game up and have become hot at the right time. Was a 7 seed in the district but beat 2 seed Greenfield in the first round of district. Finished 4th seed in the district then went to 1 seed Mckenzie and won then upset 2 seed Union City in the region semifinals. Now went on the road to Memphis and won a big substate game in 2 OT!! This team is young but has alot of heart and to GREAT players in Devon Jones and Zay Coleman. 3 straight years to the Boro under Coach Barger. Great job Falcons and coaching staff.

 

She has done an outstanding job.

whew what a game what a game money well spent tonight Coleman is the truth hands down should at least be considered for mr basketball next year hats off to dominique tonight for lights out shooting and to rashawn on cluthch free throw shooting devon played with 4 fouls but did what he had to to stay in which was needed darius for some key rebounds and putbacks just hats off to the team on a great win congrats to coach b on her hardwork and dedication to the guys and returning to the boro...now its safe to say West Tennessee will be in the house and well represented with Lake co Humboldt and Dyer co hope we all support each others teams while we're there Goodluck to all 3 teams represent the West well...
