Make no mistake, the single wing has ran it's course!! The reason for the zero points is that Portland has NO passing game!! You have got to have balance!! No QB whatsoever and about 5 - 6 scatbacks that may throw on occasion. Both teams Portland has faced figured this out and stacked the defense on the line of scrimmage and dared them to throw. There is your reason for "0" points this year. The defense and special teams are getting killed due to POOR tackling, period!! It is going to be a long and dissapointing season if the coaches continue being stubborn about the running the single wing with only running backs in the backfield and find a passing QB that will keep the defenses honest and off the line of scrimmage. That is on the coaches. Defense and special teams is on the kids with the poor tackling. Take pride of the school, the community that comes to watch you and yourselves and show more effort on game nights. Good Luck against the Wildcats!!

Not the start we were hoping for in P-Town, but does anyone really care who wins this one? I just hope we don't fall back to a zero or one win season again. Will the Panthers make a showing this week, or do we remain scoreless all season? Feel free to express your honest opinions.

Well, at least we scored! Final: WC 26, Portland 7
