I've selected eleven (11) games for Week 4. The season is nearing the half way mark for most. It's going to get harder and harder to make up ground as the season progresses. If I'm not mistaken there are three (3) Thursday night games, so get your selections in on time. That being said, the Week 4 games are as follows:

Game 1: CBHS @ Desoto Central

Game 2: Fairley @ Craigmont (D)

Game 3: Houston @ Germantown (D)

Game 4: Hamilton vs White Station @ Crump (D), Thursday Night

Game 5: North Point Christian (SBEC) @ Lausanne

Game 6: Manassas vs Frayser @ Crump (D)

Game 7: Melrose @ Whitehaven (D), Thursday Night

Game 8: Central vs East @ Fairgrounds (D), Thursday Night

Game 9: Mitchell @ Southaven

Game 10: South Panola @ MUS

Game 11: Trezevant @ Southwind

My Selections:

Game 1: CBHS

Christian Brothers has established some momentun and I think they continue on their winning ways.

Game 2: Craigmont

Fairley won't be able to overcome the Cheifs at home. Big district game.

Game 3: Germantown

Houston hasn't really played any stiff competition to date. Germantown has. I think Germantown has figured thing out. BIG district game. There really isn't any home field advantage in this one.

Game 4: White Station

I just think White Station is the better team. District game.

Game 5: Lausanne

Here is were coaching shows itself. I'm rolling with coach netherland and coach Locastro.

Game 6: Manassas

Big district game between two good programs. I think Manassas has more firepower.

Game 7: Whitehaven

Both teams are 4-0 on the season. Both barely beat Central. I think Melrose hasn't been tested as much as Whitehaven has been tested. Whitehaven wins another big district game.

Game 8: Central

Another big District 16 game. East's defense has been good. Central is capable of scoring. Home field doesn't mean much. Central get's another win.

Game 9: Southaven

Southaven's QB is eating secondary's like they are candy. Southaven will be in a fight but they will persevere.

Game 10: South Panola

Will the real MUS pleas stand up! MUS is taking their lumps this year and this will be another one.

Game 11: Trezevant

Trezevant is the real deal and I think messing with them is like poking a bear with a stick. It's not a smart move. Southwind isn't the Southwind of old. I don't recognize them at all.

That's it folks ... your turn.

    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
