Pretty cryptic. Can you elaborate for those of us who don't know what this is?

 

Just curious. I suppose if I never hear of the battle for the milk can, then it does not involve anybody of interest to me. Still, curiosity did kill the cat.

It started 40 years ago between West Greene and South Greene. The coach at West Greene wanted something each team could win from year to year. So the school Sec said I got a milk can in the barn how bout that, so they painted blue on one side and maroon on the other! SG coach agreed. These 2 teams take lots of pride in this game! It's one of the best High School rivalries in the State of Tenn

So, these schools are in Greene County? No wonder I have not heard of it. It's a long way from West TN to over there.

 

Have a great game, though. if the can was full of Jersey milk, it would be a worthwhile prize. I used to milk Jerseys.

Having not seen South Greene play this year my knowledge is a bit limited. However, I will say that West Greene's backfield will carry them past the Rebels.

What does South Greene have that will give them the advantage?  I am not around high school football as much as in past years so I am not as well informed as I have been.  I do know that West Greene's O-line is very small judging from the one game I have seen this year so that could be an advantage.  However, South Greene has been quite small in the trenches in recent years as well, so who knows.

Home field will be an advantage for SG! This will be a close game. WG has some good skills boys but the line is weak this year! SG has a good QB and Running Back but the line is weak also! I give the coaching advantage to WG
