Akin is already getting attention from several different schools at the D 1 level.  Akin is also a very smart player as well.  He has the freedom to check off and change plays on his own at the line of scrimmage.  He is also a well rounded athlete who was also the goalie on the soccer team as well as a starting forward on the basketball team.  He is also just a good kid to boot without an ego.

That's awesome to hear.  He must be smart if a HS coach gives him that option to check off.  I'll tuck his name away and keep an eye on him.  I believe the Adkins kid (Jo Byrns QB) is a similar player - smarts combined with athletic ability.  He will play somewhere on Saturdays.  I've watched 3-4 QBs over the past several years at BA (including the one that's a freshman at Florida) and Adkins is every bit as good.
