Here's the thing...I too know some legends and hall of famers from SP...I use to run around with some of them back in the day....And still keep in touch with some of them......they will tell you the same thing,SP may beat Marion County every time until the end of time...And SP will always be the little step-brother to THE WARRIORS......SP can not be Marion County...you and call them Jasper all you want too....They still will be Marion County and ya will only be sp...

Unreal!!!!!!!!! with 2 Mins left in the first half Stone starts calling our normal plays and we MOVE the ball!! good lord!!!!!!

 

Like I said, don't name any names in a derogatory manner. You weren't the only one and I understand that much. Also, I can't speak for them but I'm pretty sure Coach Moore and staff doesn't care what a bunch of us old "Has Beens" think about what they are doing. Or in your case a "Never Was"

 

I can reference the derogatory remarks toward the team and coaches earlier in the year if I need to. I'm right, you're wrong so let's move on.

Old Pirate is pert near sure them Jasper folkes has one of them history books incased in one of them air tight devices like a Holy Grale in their trophy case! Figure looking at it helps keep faith that one day they can keep up with the little school down the road. LOPWOAO.....

I have no issue calling jasper by the name Marion Co. I prefer to be called South Pittsburg. I like the way it sounds. If the name of my town was jasper, I would change it to Marion Co as well. Just sounds more intimidating. Maybe it is the harder consonants. The towns I have problems with are War Trace and Sparta. If the name of your town is War Trace why would you name your school Cascade? Change Sparta to White Co? Really? They are totally missing their opportunity to take advantage of the spartan name, 300 style, THIS IS SPARTA!!! over the loud speaker etc. Sorry for the ramblings....in short, if his momma call him Clay then I'm gonna call him Clay. So I use the names Cascade, White Co, and Marion Co. I call them what they want to be called. No skin off my back, just as long as we continue to be known as South Pittsburg.
