It wont be pleasant for Mount Pleasant against Loretto. Loretto wins by 14-17 points.

The thought just hit me.... The only thing that wasn't pleasant the 1st game down there (besides the L) was the white hat ref... Right after halftime, the game was 8-7 in mTp's favor; mTp recieved the kick off, ran it back to the 40 something, then the white hat seen fit to push them back 20 yards with three back to back to back penalties making the 1st down marker 30 yards away and forced a punt..... It just seemed to change the game and Loretto took the lead, givin also some other mTp mistakes..... It was just peculiar how after a lead was developed and mTp had to play catch up, the flags quit flying.

So if that same white hat official is there again... You might be correct.... At least in my eyes it won't be "pleasant".

I like it a lot more in HS football to just let 'em play. Call the most agregious faults, but don't call them til the game is decided then back off. They are kids, not pros....

Let 'em play.

Here we go again with the If the refs, If 5 would have been in (which he was 85% of the time), if they wouldn't have tackled our QB so roughly, if the grass wasn't green, if the ball wasn't brown, blah, blah, blah.

It is quiet obvious that Red Tang is very young and can jump out to make fun of someone just talking about the game. Likes to argue silly things of some ones 'Opinions' about the game. Likes to pull out on the band wagon when embolden with wins or when the possibilties are greater than not for the wins...... Yet tucks tail and runs off into his little corner, sits quietly when things aren't looking/going well..... That's exactly where he went after the Wayne County game..... Fair Weather Fan/player.

Those are my Opinions Jack..... Do I really expect you to like them? Nope.... Do I state them as Fact? Nope..... lol.... Get ahold of yourself or return to your quiet corner. Which is exactly where I hope mTp puts you at after Fri. Nite.... If not then I guess you'll air the other flat tires up on your 'band wagon' and really get going.....lol..... :popcorneater:

I'd like to see that... Just not seen good blitz packages outta mTp all year. Defense lineman can get in the backfield but as far as seeing purpose driven LB's, corner, or safety blitz's early and very often?.?.?... Naw. They happen but not as often as I think they should.

Just remember, y'all beat the team that beat the team that y'all play Friday night

:thumb:.... Y'all watch out over ther talking about those officials in the 'bunch of mess' thread... Ole Red Tang liable to come over there and lose it.....lol.

In relativity to this rematch, I mentioned the refs calls again because my memory got jogged and I remembered the feeling that those penalties at the very first of mTp's posession in the 2nd half just changed the game all together..... As tough/close as the 1st half was, if mTp would have went down and scored on Loretto coming out of the half? Then mTp could have demoralized Loretto a bit and had positive momentum on their side and in their minds.... Thanks to the refs calls back to back to back though.... Mentality shifted negatively in mTp and the game changed in my opinion no doubt.

mTp has what it takes to win for sure. Still awaiting injury info... Having the dangdest time finding out.... Thinking about just driving by school tomorrow and straight up asking somebody.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
