yso just remember UC fans aint saying this stuff. The guys posting like this have'nt seen any of us play. We know what we have to do. I will say it again.....we will be playing the Lions and not the Vikings.

BigSwo, you already have my Vikings losing against Dresden? If, we can cut down on mistakes I think the Vikes will pull out a win at Dresden! We just ran (340 yards) the ball last night didn't open up the passing game but I'm hoping for a re-match with UC but we got to wore about Dresden, first!!!!

Sorry 87 After watching both teams play I just think Dresden is a team that will play 4 quarters and Humboldt has shown that they will lay down for a couple of quaters. It is well known that almost anybody can run on LC so I wouldn't put too much confidence in those 340 yards. It really doesn't matter to me which team we play if we make it past Bruceton. Humboldt will be facing and determined Lions team and "The Posse". If you don't know who The Posse is.......you will find out on your first offensive series Friday night. They are the loudest, most obnoxious group of fans you will ever see at a high school football game. They are relentless and the players feed off of thier enthusiasim. I love them and hate them at the same time. The only way to counter them is to have your fan base be louder and more obnoxiuos. Humboldt fans do not travel well so I don't seeing them having that advantage. I believe this aspect of the 12th man will frustrate Vikings players and cause foolish mistakes and penalties. Unless you have been there you don't understand what I'm talking about. But they are nice about it. After the game they treat you to a very nice fireworks show. I know there are some out there who think that shows little class, but that is for squall bags. I wish we all celebrated a victory in like manner.

Thanks for the love there Swo. Or I think I should say thanks. We just watched the game in Humboldt last night and lake county fans called us arrogant. They would really hate us if they would've won.

It's sad that some of our own fans can't stand the Posse because we are loud and obnoxious but when the football team, including the coaches say they love it I really don't care what others think.

Its all about supporting the young men on the field!!!!!

Your right a good crowd helps but you still have line up & play! The point I was making about the rushing was that we didn't show our passing game nor did we get in the spread!! Dresden might win but if the Vikings mix up the passing/rushing I think we have a chance of winning!! UC had a big crowd but we still played football, I like a big crowd because it's nice when you see them standing & all quiet at the end!!!

Best post so far I like you BigSwo but you will have to agree with that.  Go Tigers a amazing season getting it back on track no matter what happens.  Make them halftime adjustments again and dont give up.

UC has a good, sportsmanlike crowd. But I haven't seen a 1a crowd that can touch Huntingdons or Dresden Lion Posse.

UC owe the Tigers a rear-end whoopin for that 2010 loss...This team seems really focused...Bruceton might hang for a quarter, maybe two...Like SWO said, "we ain't Gleason."...If we get up 12-0 like Gleason did we won't lose the lead...This is Bowling's best chance to get to Cookeville since the state championship year...Next year will be even better...Gotta play em one at a time though and not get caught up lookin ahead...GO TORNADOES !!!...

One LC fan called Dresden arrogant. I really don't have a problem with it. Support your team. That's what it is all about. On the game UC will win big. As much as it pains me to say this, UC is the best 1-A in the west and will play in Cookeville for a state title.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
