SweetScience
Give me your ALL TIME starting offense and defense for OR. This one should be interesting.

Here's a start: OFFENSE: Summers, Pope, Gulmire, Doug Martin, DEFENSE: Gulmire, Ron Black, Johnny Burgess, Eric Thomas, Shawn Crowley, Mike Caldwell

He was much more talented than Doug but Doug was a winner and SO SMOOTH. Dickens and Brinkman are good choices. Love and Cox are good choices too. This task is impossible. I would add Gipson as an "Athlete" like they do on All State teams.

I'm sure Doug was great, but I saw Tommy play as a kid and he was awesome. Not only as a QB, but you could insert him in as a great Safety too at that for OR. I think he still has the longest INT return in our history. I agree with the Gipson @ athlete. May have been the best "athlete" from OR to ever step foot on Blankenship. Like you said it's just so difficult to choose, because you know you are gonna leave off an all time great here or there. It's fun to do this but it's tough. Too many good ones and I'm not comfortable with the guys I'm leaving off.

I like to do it because the linemen (who don't always get notoriety) get it in things like this. Wish I had more knowledge of our past great linemen on both sides of the ball, but unfortunately as always nobody remembers the road graders who do all the work so the other ones can get the notoriety.
