Why would Heritage want to bring in Slaughter? They just got rid of one average coach to bring in another average coach? That makes no sense. I would take my chances with an unproven assistant before I hired this guy.

I know for a fact that two guys who were needed on o line bitched and complained about it and basically said if they were put there they wouldn't try.

Stan and Tis, They are still there and will be back next year. Now they did gripe about it but they did play it some during the year . Now if you had to move would not it have upset you some. Maybe if the kid that they were going to have to replace put forth the effort more that would not have happened . By the way he is coming back next year to. I was in the locker room when the coach talked to the 2 kids about it. They did not like it but they said OK. They were told if the move was necessary. They did not change numbers. They were going to be moved to play guard and/or tackle during some plays. One player caused that move to be made. The kid did not start the next game either and If there were any other kids that played those positions better at that time than they should have stepped up. They did not. Fact. It happened that way.

 

Look the old staff handled it that way. A new staff will be in its place. New beginning for some kids. A new chance. Now everyone gets a new shot. Now does anyone know if Coach Cooke has the other players on a weight training program or has he lost interest?. What is his plans? Is he staying or going? What about Dunn? Is he staying or going? I know he was a volunteer from his dad being in charge of the Harrison Rec Center.

Just heard of a coach putting in for the job and his are initials are

RR. He is from Georgia.

The two main gripe ones for not wanting to play the o line were babies in my opinion. One is gone and the other will be a senior. Yes part if the problem was that a couple if the o line guys were awful. One in particular back talked the coaches all the time. He will be a senior too.
