I think that Father Ryan's linebacking corp was one of the best in the league, with Max Stoffer, Billy Nipp, Aaron Mcleod, and Landon Knoll.  Landon Knoll is the only underclassman in that group and is 6' 3" 200, but looks to add 20-30 lbs in the offseason.

Ryan's linebackers were really good. I look forward to seeing that program continue to progress. A good Father Ryan is good for DII.

What a great list of players. Almost half of the players of Division II makes All-State!!! Pretty good odds.

Sandlot, your posts are derogatory, distracting and unnecessary. You have been reported to CoachT. Please either post respectfully inside the DII board or just post elsewhere -- if CoachT doesn't kick you off the message boards. Thank you.

DJ Mott needs to be on this. He definitely should be on there over Wade and Pittman. I think that it is ridiculous considering his credentials, and how well he was a two way starter.

For a list to have a discussion/conversation about - I think Wes did a great job and I enjoyed reading it.  From the players I talk to the list is pretty accurate. Side note - they agree that Chandler from MBA is the most talented freshman in DIIAA.  When you look at the highlight films, head to head competition, etc.  - in my view Pittman and Wade would be ahead of Mott based on this years games.

Tornados78,

I have to say that I am a little bit confused how you put Wade ahead of Mott. Comparing their highlight films directly I don't think that there is a comparison. At MBA their big three, Bars, Robertson, and Mott, did not come out of the game, as opposd to Ensworth, where Wade only went in on defense when the rest of their guys were exhausted. I would also bring the competition level into question. Mott went against Barnett, Sawyers, and Forrest, all of whom have no highlights against him, while Wade went against Robertson and Pittman, who both have several highlights against him. On Mott's highlight tape he has a couple of plays against Wade, but Wade does not have the same, even though Mott played defense against Wade for a good amount of time. Mott does have a greater number and better offers than Wade. You mentioned Chandler, and I believe that Mott was a huge part of his success. I will have to admitt a certain degree of bias, since I cheer for MBA, but I still believe that the facts show the Mott is better than Wade.

The good thing about this discussion is that we will have some indication from the Coaches where an opinion matters (unlike mine) in the very near future.  I will wait until we hear about their college decisions and then we can revisit this discussion.
