Maryville's D against Blackman

All I know is everyone was recruiting him as a safety but told the colleges he's really only interested in playing QB. He was suppose to of been really impressive throwing at camps and I know UT along with other major colleges has extended him an offer. I'm sure none of these colleges would have a problem telling him what he wants to hear even if they truly feel he is best suited at safety.

I would say you are correct and who knows maybe a few adjustments would help his throwing ability

Check the time of possession for both teams in first half

And the Reason you did have success running was because we had to defend the pass too , If you didn't throw one pass Maryville would of adjusted and you would of made defending you guys a lot easier . Maryville was able to start moving the Ball because Blackman didn't know if we were gonna pass or run ...

Maryville played the run most of the night.  Their safety was playing very shallow and not over the top.  Blackman did an outstanding job running the football and I too think their demise was throwing the ball.  Had they continued to run the ball then they may have scored on their second possession and put Maryville in a bind down 13-0.  I know "ifs" don't count for much, but Blackman was really having their way with Maryville in the first half.  They should have continued to run the ball until Maryville stopped them and then threw the ball just when they needed to.  Maybe every now and then just to keep Maryville on their toes.  Instead, they threw the ball WAY too much.  Some of that was that they had to late in the game, but I think the game would have been closer had they thrown the ball less.

Well I am just a fan and I watched three games on you all and it was quite clear to me that you were going to pass especially right before half without much time left, a simple cover 2 stops every pass play you ran, if is taught right, I could take six fans out of the stands and just by alignment we would be closer to the receivers than Blackman's defensive backs were

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
