Elizabethton wore Happy Valley down and out tonight 71-33.  Elizabethton is hard to score on.

Happy valley did not impress me at all.They have no rebounders and they better be glad they have Blankenship or they would be in big trouble.

Lady landers beat gate city to move to 8-1. They face power Wise Central in the title game

Lady landers win the borderline classic over wise central 49-38. These girls are a force on the hardwood. A deep bench allows constant pressure and when they all can score, it takes the pressure off the production players

Impressive Tournament showing Lady Landers! I didn't get to watch the games leading up to the Championship game tonight but from what I saw in Virginia High Gymnasium earlier Birch led those Young Ladies to a victory over a very well coached, discipline, talented group of ball players! The score really didn't show how the game was in the 4 qtr! Coach B had them girls throwing the ball around to run time off almost the entire last qtr! Good job Landers, Coaches, and fans! Also thanks for an awesome and comfy gym to watch a b ball game! Tonight was my first time in Virginia High school! Can we get those fold up seats at our place? Impressive IMO!

Hampton defeated happy valley tonight by about 18. Seems like happy valley has hitten a wall.

Big games tonight in Lander Country! I think the girls will do just fine! They are playing well together at this point! Good to see Russell back on the court after the knee injury last season! She is working hard under the goal on both sides of the ball! With her, Kat and McKinney switching in and out getting breaks helps a lot! These girls could and should be undefeated coming into this game! Only loss was to the same team in Wise Central that they beat in this past weekends tourney! Hope they can stay healthy and keep playing as a TEAM!
