FearedEagle
Waverly played great tonight but we have really no idea how good they were cause i'm sure the Waverly Junior High School could compete with the Houston County Irish. Maybe we can find out next week...... Classy classy classy. Dress 19 and have two go down in the game. QB/FS from the spring hobbles into the game with an ACL brace looks like he had surgery, they have a Corner/Slot get rolled in on a wheel chair, three of their biggest linemen that play both ways, show up in street clothes with other injuries. And they gave nothing but respect to that McConnell team. But we still get on here and bash em? Much respect to many Waverly posters, but you my friend not an ounce Edited August 23, 2014 by FearedEagle

Can't expect much from him
FearedEagle
I don't agree with everything McConnell done either. I understand he wanted to make a statement but that late in the fourth quarter with a 40+ lead and leaving starters in? Cmon man

I understand he wanted to make a statement but that late in the fourth quarter with a 40+ lead and leaving starters in? Cmon manI know McConnell very well. He coached me for 4 years and aside from that, he was a friend. If his starters were in there was a reason, either he wasn't satisfied with the performance he was getting execution-wise, or he maybe just didn't have any other guys to put in. Perhaps, he subbed the 2s and 3s he thought had earned it or were ready for it. Or maybe he just felt like running it up and making a statement in his first game. No harm, no foul. And you guys are going way to hard on WavoTigers10. I'm sensing a gang mentality. The dudes just passionate about his team and he's excited about their accomplishments. Let him be passionate about his team. Great things come when passion like that builds throughout a community.

He could have run it in from the HC 10 with freshmen in the last 2 minutes of the game if he had chose to.
Wavotiger10
I can't sit and not reply to the post about Stewart County all being Punks. Stewart County has a lot of fine young men on this team and They represent Stewart County well. Coach Cody Finley is a fine man. To me the punk is the one that would say such things. My son is on the Team and I just happen to be extremely proud of him. I have a lot of Friends in Waverly so I will just consider this one source and not waste any more time. I am sorry for Waverly to have someone like that representing Their views of other schools. I meant to post this last night. I am very sorry for tge things I said about Stewart county last week. It was very classless and I will not do it again. But I am thinking that after last night Dover might be a team the District needs to watch out for. I think Waverly and Stewart COunty are gonna be in a fight for the dark horse position#BWTP
Wavotiger10
I agree. I'm sick of it. WavoTiger get out of here. Stop with your posts. Your either young or just plain stupid. Your making Waverly look classless and they and their fans and supporters are anything but that. Look I'm not sure who you are, but if you knew who I was you would for sure know that I Am not the Punk that I have been acting like. I apologize with as much sorrow in my heart as I can. Also if you know who I am, You would know I have more tiger pride than most people. Between '06-'10 you did not see a tiger with more tiger pride than me on the sidelines. For now on I will watch my mouth and represent Waverly well like I did when I earned my All - District plaque. Please forgive me!

I respect him for how he defended Coach Graves in another thread and love his passion for this years team.
RowdyRebel2014
Stewart County lost to a much improved Northwest team last night 27-13. The game was tied 13-13 at halftime. Northwest scored on a long drive that was assisted by a lot of flags to go up 20-13 late in the third. Stewart County put together a long drive but stalled inside the 5 yard line. Northwest added another score with 2 minutes to go in the game to win by 2 scores. The Rebels go on the road to play Houston County next Friday. Go Rebels

FearedEagle
No hard feelings to McConnell or Waverly about it. Those coaches will talk these boys up and get their heads ready for Dover. Goodluck to y'all for the rest of season both Waverly and Fairview.
rcombs
South Gibson is out the gate 14-0 with a short drive after a deep kickoff return and a punt return for a TD. Sounds like the Lions got some special teams problems so far tonight.
