Hey Big, how are the UC boys looking this year? Will they make it back to the big dance? What teams over that way will have a chance to beat this 2A private school (Goodpasture) this year? I hope ya'll have someone over there that can win one for the public schools!

the schools out west that can beat probly are Humbodlt Union City And Mitchell

Hey Chipper..I heard on the radio that Stockdale poured in 29 points last night..I think that topped Bradfords 27 point outing against LC

.I believe Malik has had around 6 games or more with 20 plus points ot better..I think his aver age is around 17.9..Deberry poured in 16 himself and Simpson with 12 .And I believe Bumpus and Jamie had 8..This was a great night for the Tornadoes ..I just hope they keep playing well and I just hope the guys keep on keeping on.. As of right now ill say Stockdale is playing like he is possessed! .I think he is on a mission trying to get to the glass house..He just wants to win at any cost.

Copenoc,Malik was hitting inside and out.He had it working yesterday. We played very good.We are 9-10 deep with the football players being back and players can get a breather.Executing on offense and the ball moving to the open person.Like you said,we have 5 guys that can score double figures. I think we are beginning to hit our stride and look forward to the second half of the season. A very tough task in Poplar Bluff with the teams being Poplar Bluff Mo, Forrest City Ark,Grenada Ms,who we play first, Soldan International Studies out of St.Louis Mo,Jackson South Side, Liberty Tech, and BTW.Looking to see how we play against some of these teams.I think that if we can get our man defense together,we will be good.We have to do a better job of stopping penetration. Thats were Ripley killed us early in the game.If we can get better at that,it will be interesting to see how good we can really be.

Thanks for the info on what teams is up their..If u get a bracket can u please post it?..Man that is gonna be a very tough tourny with all those teams u mentioned. . UC may not win a game their but if they compete in every game that will be a good accomplishment for them..We all know how good Southside is..The Mississippi team has to be very stout beating Memphis Mitchell. .I guess we will see where we stand.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
