So you don't think Greeneville will even challenge you? Have you ever seen Greeneville play?

Maybe challenge was the wrong word and I got the semi/quarter finals mixed up. Here is my outlook, I think the Rebels will finish the season undefeated and will have a 1 or 2 seed in their quad come playoff time. I don't think that they will lose in either of the first two rounds, Quarterfinal will be a challenge but I believe if they get past that we will be playing for a gold ball at the end of the season.

Regarding my knowledge of Greeneville - I honestly love the Greene Devils too and have lots of respect for them. Several of my favorite games were against the Devils. I try to catch one or two games at Burley every year. I just have a ton of confidence in the group of upcoming South seniors. It takes more than one class to win a championship but I can't easily forget watching this group of kids on their Freshman only team easily handle the Greeneville JV team a few years ago. I left around halftime but the score was around 30-6 at that point in time and the subs were already coming in. That's just my 2 cents. Looking forward to football season!

Greeneville Greene Devils 2014 State Champs! Book It!

Tell ya what DevilMan. If Greeneville makes it to the Dance this year then, Lord Willing, I'll come down and cheer you guys on. Might even make it a weekend and holler for the F5, Red Rebels, or whoever else makes it there from East TN!

I think this year is wide open. I am a Greeneville fan but not one of those who thinks we can beat the Dallas Cowboys every year. Here is my breakdown of the East Quad only as it definitely is loaded. This is taken from fans of each school who I know personally.

South- awesome QB, have all their skill people back on offense, they have a strong secondary, look to be hurting on offensive line lost a lot of starters, small on defensive line.

Elizabethton- Thomas kid best RB in East TN, experience at QB, Well coached, offensive line is big question mark, not real quick on defense.

Fulton- Once again will be very good at skill positions, big trouble at offensive line, a lot of speed on defense, question mark at QB

Greeneville- big time physical this year, offensive line is Hugh will average 270, defense should be real good returning 9 of 13 players who started for them at different times last year. Big question at QB, lost two outstanding WR, who will be the go to RB

Catholic- a lot of talent, will be strong at skill positions, have some work to do with OL and DL, well coached.

Once agIn the best Quad in the State in my opinion. I hope everybody's team has a safe and great summer.

Good breakdown! However, the best RB in East TN does not play for Betsy!

Definitely the best in NE Tn. He is One of the best in East Tn. Kept Elizabethton in the game 2 years ago against CAK when they went on to win state. Stands 5'10 210lb and a load to bring down.

Who do you have as the best in rb throwdaslant?

At this time, would be difficult to tell. However, after the show he put on in Cookeville last year it would be very hard to rank anyone above Alcoa's J. Tyson. Although I'm sure their are many great backs out there.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
