Clarkrange comes to Jackson Co on Friday for round 1

Well we've been waiting a little while on this match up of these two perennial Class A powers and come Friday night we will see how these two teams are going to match up against each other this year. Should be a great game and a great atmosphere for a high school ball game. I've got Jackson County winning at home by 7. I know thats a real shocker to everyone !!!

The top 2 Class A teams in the state go head to head tonight, should be a great game. I don't care what the polls say these two teams have won a combined 16 state championships between them and District 7A owns Murfreesboro. I predict this will be the first of 5 meetings between these two teams with the last one being for the state championship. Can't wait to see this game! Safe travels to all the Clarkrange visitors to and from the game. :)

Top 2 programs...yes. They are 2 of top 3 teams this year. It's hard to say Union City is not the best team in class A right now. This game will make both teams better for sure.

Until UC can find a way to make a shot above the foul line they won't beat a Jim Brown coached team and with Lamar having reloaded this year i don't see UC making it past the semi's because they will have to face one of these teams. Every year about this time UC is always "ranked" #1 in the polls because of their weak scheduling. Yes they are a very good team i am not saying they aren't but they are not a threat to win it this year imo.

Their win over LA says they are pretty good. They beat CR in semis last year...and got to title game.

Yes it most certainly does say they are a good team but i don't put a lot of stock into a regular season game that doesn't mean much. The same tournament last year saw UC come within 5 points of beating an Ensworth team that wore out Jackson County and everyone jumped on that bandwagon. I said the same thing then that i am saying now, until UC can hit an outside shot they won't score enough to beat Jackson County and at one point during the state championship game they were down by 29 points until Coach Brown called the dogs off and subbed in and then they cut it back to 15 using their starters against our bench. UC is a quality team but i don't feel they can beat this Jackson County team with JayCee Coe on it and Clarkrange is loaded for sure so for UC to win the state they will have to beat both of these teams in a span of two or three days and thats not likely. However this is just my opinion and i'm basing it off of what has happened every time Union City has faced a team from Jackson County. The results are not good but this year is another year so we shall see.

      And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…

      Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.

      Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.

      After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.

      Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
