Coach Austin could find a way to make it work, I do not think he would have to give up one to do the other, neither program would have to suffer...I think he is the man for the job, pull the trigger men.

If he does get the job. He will have to coach both this year. Softball is season is here now. I do think it will be difficult to coach both. He has had to cut softball practices short in the past for spring football. I don't see that getting any better. Both teams are very talented and will have success. My question would be "Who would take over softball if he decided to coach football only?". Maybe a softball topic, but they are connected. I think his heart is in football. JMO.

could not agree more wingman, they do not make them any better than Doug Price.  He is without the best offensive line coach i have ever met and he is even a better man than coach, and that is hard to say.  If whoever gets the head job does not choose to include coach price in their plans will be making a big mistake.  He is a huge reason for the sucess of the last four years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be a shame if Jeremy (Pudge) Austin is not hired for this head coaching spot.  He is a local guy who coached under Kenny Parker at Cascade as a defensive coordinator and held the same position last year at Moore County.  He carried their softball program to new heights last year leading them to their first State Tournament.  The guy is so much the obvious pick here its unbelievable!!

Let me big the first to offer a big congrats to coach Jeremy Austin , very strong rumor that he in fact will be the next head football coach at moore county. Good luck next year to the 2014 raiders!
