when I think of Westy, talent is not the first thing that comes to mind. I think of grit, toughness, smart hard noise football. Maybe with a sprinkle of talent. I do think this is their year. Edited March 28, 2014 by UpperCumberlandMan

yes White Housse always has a say in that area. I don't see this year being any diffrent

I think the key for westmoreland this year is going to be replacing their defensive ends from last year. They anchored that defense this year and last year.

Who were the d-end at westy this past season? I think Whitehouse-heritage and the new schools in. Galatin area have really hurt Whitehouse

I had not heard that, but I'm not at all surprised. Seemed like it may be a down year for them, but they still have the possibility of taking down a team that isn't prepared for them.

 

Hopefully, we'll get to see a hard-nosed, smash-mouth football season with good competition for the district title.

I dont know one of their names but i think he played guard too maybe. very undersized but very quick. The other one is a ward. He was the best end and probably one of the best defenders in the district from what ive heard.

The defensive ends were Lucas Ward and Dustin Duffer. Duffer got hurt at end of last season and a junior Mike Evans took his place. So one defensive end should be ok but someone will have to step up for the other spot.

Don't think so. The Ward kid had some colleges interested but I don't know if he got an offer
