Now you spot on, bullseye, and discussing TRUE NEEDS that should be dealt with, and actions speak louder than words, meaning talking of all this is first step, but the doing of corrective deeds gets the job done. And we all truly THANK those core movers & shakers at QB club who do try, WAY TO GO.. KEEP IT UP.. but sadly many more can't do what they'd like to in helping solve some of these problems you raise (because of health reasons, frailty of age, lack of resources/ impoverishment, family constraints, job demands, and other preventative roadblocks), but these "outsiders" can encourage, support, and give Way To Go's to those who are active participants. Indeed, one's sole contribution in helping may be a fearless voice in pointing out needs AND sharing constructive ideas that solve problems (which often the best ideas come from new blood outsiders who don't have to worry about who is who in small towns). But when other ideas are implemented or different solutions are followed by those who are the decision makers (like this current choice of head coach), then we DO NEED to band together and move forward, or we'll hang seperately. Tackling each issue raised here does need to be done.. but, these same problems you mention ARE prevalent in the vast majority of public schools all over this nation, literally! The difference between top-tier, championship "dynasties" and wanna-be's ... in my opinion it IS active, continuous, community involvement, the behind the scenes participation by folk who don't care about who gets the credit as long as the job gets done. They are about the solutions and future, not wrapped up in themselves being top dog. Such communities of like-minded folk build great programs, and great towns. And I think our community has started down the right path here at Dresden to be an elite program, and this choice of a new coach could make us, or break us, depending on the maturity level of the adults in area and how we all respond to all this. No, don't close eyes to what else still needs done, but yes do tackle these needs in positive, constructive ways, one issue at a time, knowing Rome wasn't built in a day. So, will those who are upset over current decision for head coach get over it, or not? Will they take their passion for improvements and direct that energy in a constructive way to help, or try to tear down, sabotage, and undermine everything and everyone not in agreement with them? Will they gather together as a team and keep trying to improve, build, and get better or pack up their marbles and run off in a huff? Time will tell, and one's heart and loyalties will be seen in one's words and deeds. Personally, I plan on staying and helping as able, Lord willing. (Even if only thing I can do is be a "voice" and "idea guy", both at games, on public boards, and in community meetings). GO LIONS! #1 ALL THE WAY!

And Hevy Revy Is Too Long Winded To Be A Coach...Plays Take Too Long To Dictate....lol

:) as the comedian from yesteryear used to say, Heeey, I resemble that remark! .. plus, true, when excited (or tired) I get tongue tied and st-st-st-stutter in real life. And no doubt if I/we used signals from sidelines my hands would flop around in spastic stuttering too as I tried to send in our secret play: The Annexation of Puerto Rico. So yep, no coaching for me.. ha.. I'm just "the voice" and "noisemaker" from the sidelines. And a wanna be encourager. That's all.. for now.. maybe.. :)

I Think It's Time For All The Hodge's And Hewitt's And Ysoangries To Load Up And Leave Town...And In Mine And Duck's Continued Support To The Lion's Demise, Me And Duck Will Deliver Ya'll A Slightly Used Talent Sucking Helmet..No Returns!

Although I'm a strong supporter of the use of helmets you can keep that monstrous skill sucking black hole in Carroll County or Union City just keep it away from us. I'll try my Nostradamus mindset here. I predict our coach will be here for 3-4 years. After last years freshmen or the new group this coming year are seniors. Probably the most talent Dresden has had since their only state title. I don't mind pointing out the obvious that hard work will trump talent. just look at UC and Humboldt last year. If he can bring out the best in our team like Keith and that other guy did the sky is the limit. Edited by ysoangry

Absolute best hire you guys could of got. Interviewed him a couple of times at Powell. I was shocked a bigger program didn't give him a shot before now. Mistakes were made at Powell, but I don't think anything intentional happened and he definitely learned from it.

Good luck to Dresden and Coach Rang.

    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
    • What coach in their right mind would want to come here and set theirself on fire to keep her warm.
    • Shoulder not going to the #### show .   Macon will name the score this year.
    • Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
