I agree with the Dekalb folks. I wouldn't tell my freshman to get out on purpose either. People complain all the time. Cry about how bad LA/Cannon/UH win in girls bball. Lots of crying about UH scores

DC now #1 in the latest polls. Lets keep the W's coming tonight.

Most don't put a lot of stock in the Coacht polls...but it is nice to see.

 

The girls will definitely be looking to get a monkey of their back this Thursday playing Upperman at home. Going to be a tough game.

That wasn't the only close game they have been in this season season. I would say it was the tightest game thus far though. UCM I know you like the rankings and stuff, so how you feel about DC being at #2 right now?

UH has no batting but a top pitcher. If DC puts 8 or more on them, they are a state contender in my opinion. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

If she is truly a top pitcher, then I doubt any teams will be putting up 8 points on Upperman while she is pitching. The next two games with UH and Friendship should be interesting though.

she has been touched up a few times accourding to HC, most have come verse top tier teams. I think DC goes unblimished in district play this season. Just don't know how strong the district is this season.

At this point in time, it doesn't appear to be very strong. Upperman has played a tough schedule though.

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
