Indian
Sequatchie should win 7-AA regular season, 2 games with Signal this week and 1 with Grundy. Grundy and Bledsoe each with 2 district losses. Winning 1st is very important with only 3 teams realistically capable of winning the district tournament, and 2-3 would have an early tournament loss. Indian
Sequatchie won by forfeit over Signal Mt today. Game was ended in the first as Signal had a player injured and with just nine available couldn't continue. Sad to see any program in that kind of shape. ChattSoftball
They lost today to East Hamilton as well. I haven't seen them play lately, but have heard that their overall performance has dropped since the beginning of the season. However, Walker Valley has also been battling injuries throughout the course of the season. Their pitcher has been battling injuries all year, the 2013 all-state Hallie Davis just came back Monday from an ankle injury, and they had an outfielder out today at EH. Make no mistake, any of the top four teams in District 5-AAA could win the District Tournament next week including Walker Valley, especially if they get healed up. That district this year has been very competitive. Edited April 23, 2014 by ChattSoftball
ChattSoftball
Walker Valley wins 7-6 over Ooltewah. WV took a 7-0 lead into the 7th inning, but opened the inning with two costly errors and a bad hop to give Ooltewah a chance to win.
