Ridgeway vs Bradley

Whether Bradley makes it to finals or not probably depends more on how the other girls play. I think Brooke & Rebecca will do fine. Every time I've gone to Murfeesboro, it's the teams with 5 girls on the floor that have confidence in their game & want to make things happen, instead of the teams that depend on 1-2 All State players to take the shots. (Of course, having two All-Staters helps a lot too - haha!)

I don't know anything about Ridgeway, so I can't really predict his thus game will end up. Will someone with some knowledge on them please share with us.

Thanks!

It has absolutely no bearing on this year's game but here is some state tourney info on the Bearettes. The Bearettes are making their 27th appearance in the state tourney and playing in their 63rd game on Wednesday. They're 42-21 in games in the tourney with 5 state titles and two 2nd place finishes. They were most recently there last year losing in the 1st round to Science Hill.

The bracket is set up for Bradley to make the finals. They caught break with science hill losing their point guard and getting beat cause they would be in morristown west spot. I do hope they make it cause our fans know thei pain from a year ago. They shouldn't have trouble with their semi final game once they get past ridgeway which will be a good test.

Right and all their titles were from the 6 on 6 days and Jim Smiddy the legendary coach never win a game in the state tourney went it went to 5 on 5. Paul Cretton took over and that year with Amy Geren and Paige Redmond they finished second to shellbyville. Geren was named MVP of the tourney and was on the losing team. I believe that was the last time the had two D1 signees on the same team until this year.

This would be the 3rd year in a row they make trip over to boro  IF CC girl does not knock out our senior leader and player of year in Region finals. Although we will never know for sure but I would say Caroline could have made up 2 point difference to get us there!

Paul Cretton is one heck of coach and Geren and Redmond were studs.

Brooke is presently 9 on all time scoring. If you had a different list for those who have scored that many in 5-5, she would be 5th right now, and should be 4th after passing Jackie Pickel in Wednesdays game. Rebecca would be in the top ten in 5-5. Not bad company, Brittany, Jody, Paige, Jackie, Brooke, Amy and Rebecca!!! How would you like to have those on one team!!!!

This is awesome look at Rita , Liz and Brittany's totals combined. That's an aunt. Mom. And daughter. And Amy Gerens mom and Dad were both on State championship teams. The points Jane Brock put up was when Coach Smiddy would give each senior one game where they shot the ball all the time And I'd would of liked to have seen what offensive numbers Gloria Scott would of put up if she had gotten to play on that side of the court in 6 on 6.

Why did a few of them only play 3 years? Bradley Central has sure had some awesome players over the years. Don't remember Jackson Co ever playing them in the regular season, but remember facing them in summer camp many times and wow they were always good.

Those were the years that the middle schools had 7 8 9 grades. Or they didn't play varsity.
