5A not too baad for the first night of the scrimmage..

McMinn 7 Red Bank 0  roaming qb

Bradley 13 Howard 0   the qb got a strong arm...

Baylor 7 Cleveland 0  missing 9 starters....but not bad....

Bradley looked pretty solid. Cleveland looked ragged, but 9 starters out can do that. Walker Valley looked ready for the season, Ooltewah looked rough at times and good at times. East Hamilton looked good on defense, but offense really stunk on line. McMinn looked solid as well and will be tough. Soddy Daisy looked improved.

Oh I know. Why I phrased it the way I did. Only thing you can take out of these things is a general impression of where you stand. My impression was solid, not great, not terrible. But considering some of the other, solid may not be bad this year at this point.

After watching the jamboree Ooltewah should win this district as long as they leave #17 at QB. After them the only sure bet is that Soddy will finish last.

Have to agree with this. I thought the preseason polls were pretty reasonable, but what I saw Friday and Saturday suggested it could be a wild year in 5AAA.

The verdict is not out on 5AAA.....the jamboree gave you a distorted view.....

My Owls defense is what I said it was from day 1

I gave my opinion on the signal callers which doesn't matter...we will see

The Canes defense is there....offense???

I can't trust this EARLY poor play from the Canes or the Raiders.....somehow they have a clean bill of health when it's time to play my Owls.....

5AAA may start off a little slower this season (except for my Owls) but trust me it will be a dog fight in the end for the District Champs......#5AAA BIGBOY FOOTBALL WILL FINISH STRONG
