Congrats to all the members, but it is an absolute joke that no members from the Union City Lady Tornadoes were selected on it considering they won the state championship!

Yeah, it's a joke how nobody on an undefeated State Championship team doesn't make the All State team.

I'm not familiar with the majority of those selected, but it's difficult to understand how two girls from two different teams were chosen and not a single kid from the state championship team was selected. This supports the fact that these selections: 1) are largely a popularity contest and 2) it's difficult to be chosen without significant backing from a local newspaper.

They probably have to nominated first of all, from their area of the state. Surely there is a TSWA member from NW TN.

Most local papers will send something out to the area coaches asking for nominations. Maybe UC's coach didnt recieve one or did and didnt nominate anyone. It happens. I agree that they should have a representative!

Pierce from Community should have been on the list. She was pretty unstoppable all year and won the district player of the year award of the girl from MTCS. Pierce was better than her this year.
