High School wrestling in Nashville area?

We just learned we are likely transferring to the Nashville area and know very little about the high school wrestling landscape in the area.  Can someone fill me in?

Our sons have wrestled in Ohio since they were little boys, and we have one who will wrestle in college next year, so it's important to us that we don't end up choosing a home in school district with a weak or non-existent wrestling program.  Obviously, it's not our only consideration when looking at a new home and school district, but it's high on the list, especially for our kids.

We are familiar with Father Ryan, but that's about it.

What are the good public schools with strong wrestling programs?

It looks like we would be moving to the Franklin area, and housing costs seem high there, so I'm thinking if we lived there, we might need to lean toward public.

Thanks for any insights you can provide.

You may want to contact Adam Kabolla the coach at Walsh Jesuit in Cleveland, Ohio. Adam has recently coached in both the Nashville area and Ohio and should be able to give you the good, bad & ugly of all the programs in the Nashville area of Tennessee.

As far as the strongest region 6 (Franklin area) it's been Ravenwood, Franklin, Independence (10min south) and Brentwood. 30 minutes east of Franklin lies Wilson Central, arguably the best up and coming school in MidTn finishing 2nd in the state the last two years.

But hands down Father Ryan stands above all 5 of them.

Thanks for all the info - especially the link to the previous thread.  You've provided us a very good starting point for our research and we are happy to see that there are several good options.

Ohiowrslr just north of Nashville in Hendersonville TN... Beech High school is pretty tough wrestling team also.
