PJM
This is merely for fun, so don't get too worked up about it. My order is based really on two criteria since I cannot attend many games. First, last year's success is considered. And second, the team record from this calendar year is considered. Let's talk some soccer. 1. Franklin (8-0-0) 2. Farragut (11-1-0) 3. Brentwood (7-2-2) 4. Houston (10-1-1) 5. Science Hill (10-0-1) 6. Colliersville (9-1-3) 7. Hardin Valley (9-1-1) 8. Kingsbury (5-2-4) 9. Cookeville (10-3-1) 10. Dobyns-Bennett (9-2-3) I did not consider teams like Ravenwood, Centennial, Antioch, and others because I cannot find up to date records for them this year. BarcaFan
On the surface you might say Franklin vs Farragut for the state championship; however, that totally discounts how hard it is to get through their own district tournaments and the other teams that will eventually make it to state in their own right. Still fun food for thought but nothing that happens on the way to the finish line is ever set in stone. Teams like Independence, Overton, Station Camp, Antioch, Bartlett, Centennial, Hendersonville, Maryville, and Cleveland as well as others may have something to say about who makes it to state in AAA. I do miss hearing from the Bearden fans but don't expect that will last long.
trebs
With a 31 game unbeaten streak, until someone beats them, Franklin is #1. A repeat of last years final is very possible. But as we all know, soccer can be a cruel game sometimes.
RonMexico3
I agree that Franklin is on top of AAA by a long margin. They're back 4, sometimes 3 are the best group of defenders you'll find anywhere in the south, not just TN. Good luck to any team that faces them. It'll take more than one goal to beat Franklin but only two teams have scored on them all year.
RonMexico3
Looks like Hardin Valley popped that Farragut bubble last night
PJM
Seven Days later here is my new poll. 1. Franklin (11-0-0) 2. Science Hill (15-0-1) 3. Brentwood (11-3-2) 4. Farragut (14-2-0) 5. Collierville (12-1-3) 6. Hardin Valley (11-2-1) 7. Houston (12-2-2) 8. Maryville (12-6-0) 9. Dobyns-Bennett (12-3-3) 10. Riverdale (8-2-2)
RonMexico3
Farragut is higher than Hardin Valley? Hardin Valley beat Farragut this year. I went to public school so maybe I'm missing something here but the team that beats the other team should be ranked higher.

That didn't work out for Notre Dame one year in football
PJM
So Maryville beat Hardin Valley 3-0. Should Maryville be ranked above Hardin Valley? Well, Farragut beat Maryville 4-1. And Hardin Valley beat Farragut 4-3. I can't be fair to anyone. So I'll just go with overall record and competition. Farragut has played the more difficult schedule, so yeah I'll go with Farragut for now. Thanks for talking soccer.
BarcaFan
The Farragut/Hardin Valley score was no surprise. Those teams always tend to beat up on each other and often times a little momentum, a little more heart, or a little more luck is the deciding factor. That loss may be just the prescription Farragut needed to ensure another state final.
PJM
Riverdale and Blackman advance to the district final in 7AAA. Riverdale defeated Siegel 1-0 in regulation. Blackman defeated Oakland in PK's 4-2.
sportsfan422
What about The Hill! Undefeated in 18 matches and played a wicked schedule this year..Hopefully the top two teams will will meet next week in the boro for the title.. If they can both stay unbeaten along the way it be really interesting..that's really tough with these other great teams playing..Who would you take?
