I can't seem to cut and paste the list into the editor without it looking horrible, therefore I'm just going to post the link and let you look at it like that.

Murphy Fair's Preseason 6A - All-State

In the words of the Saturday Night Live's 'church lady' character ... "Talk amongst yourselves".

At the end of the year I would bet that Maryville RB Jalen (sp?) Burgess will be an All Stater at that position. Shocked he isn't on there to be honest. I would also maybe put Dylan Shynsky (sp?) on there as well for Maryville @ one of the LB spots. Surprised their isn't but one Rebel on there. Also don't be shocked to see a few Maryville O-Linemen on there at the end of the year, and it also wouldn't shock me if their QB doesn't make All State, too.

Interesting.

Haha only reason why I just mentioned them is because they're pretty much the only team besides Oak Ridge that I know a lot about. Burgess is the real deal. I know that much. Jennings and Oliver and Jones from Oakland are obviously  legit choices, but other than that I don't know much about the others mentioned.

Agree on all accounts. Nobody from outside of this area has much heard of Burgess yet, but they sure will before seasons end, that's for sure.

    • Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.
    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
