Another Maryville player that should have been nominated is Defensive Tackle Ritchie Koons. Koons gets overlooked because of Dylan Jackson. I do know this. Koons is a grown man. Koons is 6'3 285lbs. Kid benches close to 400lbs and squats over 500lbs. Maryville had a great run defense. They shut down a lot of good teams run game. Koons is a big reason why.

Agree 100% RR. Lil Koons is a difference maker on Friday nights who definitely gets overshadowed by big 79 (who casts quite a shadow at 6'6").

 

IMO....the kid at MLB is gonna shine even more this year. He might have been a little wide-eyed last year, but he will be much more comfortable now that he got his learner's permit.
