Watch out for them lying lips and judging folkes Truth. Old Pirate has always been a fan of Zeman. He like JTMM are transplants from a another seeding crop and carried the warriors while you Jasper fellers studied. Nope, OP hopes Zeman has a great year and if the Pirates get earholed then so be it. BTW, Do you support the little fellers program getting robbed to pay high school coaches bonus money. Yep, not salary, that comes from the county, Bonus money.....Step forward and be counted, Do You Support The Little League Raising/Paying $ to provide bonus money for A SOS? Us fellers is keeping watch

Spin it however you want that our head coach spurned the great south Pitt and ended up in warrior land. If that makes you feel better about yourself to spread rumours then so be it. I guess sp also has a hand in paying for him as well then since we have so many pirates in our little league program now...........lol. Really if someone wants to give money then it isnt any of your or anyone else's buisness. Spreading rumours only make you look foolish.

One more time. STAY ON TOPIC. These kids are playing the game they love tonight. Who cares if little league is paying money for the coach. That has nothing to do with Marion Co vs Central. This will not be a track meet. Central doesn't have the offense to put up pinball numbers. They win with defense.

It's ridiculous hown threads get high jacked by Internet tough guys arguing gossip. This coach did this or that and the little league is paying the head coach's salary blah blah blah. Let's talk football because if any of that mess was true that man from the Times Free Press would have already written about it in his paper.

MC wins this one tonight. I believe the offense will come out improved. I heard they had a great week of practice.

Who cares if Marion little leagues help pay the HC. Ross seems to "get it" and know how you build from the bottom up. I know a guy that wanted to stream line SP little league just like Ross is doing and it wasn't thought of as a priority. What a difference one year makes. Now Marion has started getting SP kids in their little leagues. Some couch coaches may shrug and say big deal let them go but down the road this will greatly effect the Pirates. A lot of whispers already about that SP Shocker age group. Don't be shocked if a few go a stray.

As for Marion tonight I think this game shows if they can contend for Gold or not. If they can beat Central then they got a legit shot at dethroning TC. This should be a great year to be a Warrior fan.

    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
    • I’m not taking shots at the kid, but “athlete” is not something I would use to describe him. He was a long, lengthy, defensive back
    • Mistakes like that should never happen.
