Looking at the Jackson Sun 'Tale of the Tape' on yesterday ..... both teams are close stat wise however.  With the Cavs coming out ahead in every catergory.  I guess that is why we play the game huh, looks to be a packed house if the weather coorperates and hope both teams leave it all on the field.   Crockett County is and should be the favorite however the Trojans relish the "underdog, no respect role".  Go Trojans :popcorneater:

dhstennis and the others worried about 'so much talk about jones'....that's the nature of the game and if your comments are an to attempt to generate some in-locker-room problems. won't happen. This team is tight and they know JJ is (and will continue to) get most of the attention. Pretty sure everytime Beech played, Jalen Hurd was mentioned quite a bit in the press, on forums, etc.
The fact is that when there is a star running back, and surely you know this, it opens up the game for everyone else---yes there are other great players who get to shine--the fullback spot rotates Kamau Caldwell, Kordell Smith & (watch this kid) freshman Jordan Branch who all gain punishing yardage everytime they touch the ball...Trey Johnson comes in for Jones, and is a strong speedster as well...tight ends J. C. MacLin and Will Rigby have caught passes crucial to drives...DeShaun Pickens is another speedster at WR who has had several just off his fingertips--he will get his soon. That offensive line is big, strong, and experienced with Cody Richardson & Landon Kail leading the way. QB Cade Parlow is a great decision maker, good passer, and is very capable of running as well. On special teams, Jones, Pickens and Jeremiah Nance (who runs a 4.41 40) will blister you on punt and kick off returns. Kicker Nolan Porter puts kickoffs in the end zone a lot, and his punts can bury you deep. On the defensive side of the ball, MacLin and Humberto Villareal will beat up both tight ends and the QB is in trouble more often than he likes...Casey Richardson has become a beast on the defensive line and by halftime his opponent is ready to quit. Linebackers Kamau Caldwell, who would be atop the area tackling totals but was pulled at halftime 2 of the games, and 3rd quarter in another is quick and aggressive. Smith is his partner and equally quick. Rigby does a great job shutting down the outside. The secondary features the athletic Nance, Pickens, and a smart & disciplined Sloan Leath. Clark Scott is another smart athlete who plays both sides...plus other players who are doing a great job at their position(s).

So yes...lots more weapons than just Jones......and with good to great players in all of the key positions----every team will find it is no fun to play Crockett this year.  It's not hype---you/they will see.

also...im not from dburg...just very interested in this matchup as it has playoff implications for my team at liberty

i would like to say...johnny jones is just that...johnny jones...not jalen hurd...thats a whole different animal and level of competition...JJ is fantastic for what he has accomplished so far...

Gee as much as I like to debate I really can't find anything off with your predictions there. Looks pretty spot on. Barring injuries---I'd be surprised to see anything different.

not really a debate per say...just curious of ur thoughts...obviously dburg and crockett are interchangeable depending on who wins tmrw night...

i believe the rest is pretty much set in stone...trezevant has a silly schedule as always...craigmont is their #2

liberty and north side are the 2 causing issues...point being loser of fridays game is going to get jobbed in the seeding if liberty wins out as i expect them to

As i said in previous post, Crockett County is favored to win this game on paper.  Heck, I would even go on to say they are a 14 point favorite.  Even though Dyersburg has owned Crockett 8 of the last 10 meetings.  Another reason to think that Crockett is due to win.

Crockett has the speed, size, and the athletes this year.

But, the game is not played on paper, and is played on the field.  Good luck Dyersburg, suspect you will give it all you got for 4 quarters, and never look back.
