Hampton at Johnson county

The key to stopping Kerley is constant pressure. He had open receivers against us all night but he had to evade the pass rush and it hurt his timing. He went 17-39 but had a hard time sustaining drives because they couldn't run the football. That allows you to be more aggressive on d. His 2nd td against us should have been called back because the wr knocked Colby out of the way when he caught the ball. So we really only gave up 7 and they had the ball most of the second half.

that dropped the majority of those passes he threw.

JC and HV are mirror images...They both give up the ghost too soon UNLESS they are playing us....JC will play us for FOUR qtrs just as HV did...There won't be a lul in their game come Friday night.

With our lil skill players (that aren't too tuff either  ) we'll have a steep hill to climb just to compete with JC.

As a JC announcer said, "Hampton just aint been too good the last few years"...I guess he's right and I guess JC's wins/loses prove just how good they are.

Anyway, win or lose, we continue to get our injured back and all the pieces together again.

We love the hate...Makes the practices worth while...And the W's even sweeter.

JC got white-eyed after 3-1/2 on the mtn...HV sooner than that.

They couldn't keep up with the one-two-three punch you all were doling out...We don't have that advantage...Well, as of right now anyways.

That's why HV did and now JC will be able to stay in it much longer...JC possibly to the very end.

Could go either way....If we go up there for revenge, we'll have a hard time winning. Revenge never gets ya anywhere.

No. It's the reckoning :)

Hmmm. Not much going on here. Come darlin. Let's take our entertainment else where :)

Not much entertainment on any of these boards....Just a "building-up" I reckon....Just stay tuned, we'll be playing for blood soon....That's just my game

By the way JOHNNY RINGO, quit quoting me and leave "darlin" alone...She may well be the devil ya know!

Hampton must take care of the football..They can't afford to come out flat and play careless. I think the HV game was a wake up game. I'm more than sure it's been addressed and will see a different team this time out.

Yea, flat won't cut it up there...I'm more worried about stupid, needless penalties that void scores and big gains.

If we run our passing routes right, stay with our blocks and don't let their receivers get behind us when on D, we'll still

be in for a battle.

We must redefine the nature of our association :)

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
