Disagreed to the bolded statement... He has YET to make it out the area and that 2010 team, Walton and Dawson's Jr. was the year to do it. They Beat us, they had a GREAT Defense (on our level type Defense) they were undefeated and found a way to LOSE to Henry Co. I believe... Until he gets to the 4th Rd aka the Semifinals I will consider him an ok/SUSPECT coach... No Disrespect but yeah I totally disagree. 

 

He's had Better talent than Most teams West of the TN River with the exception of Da Haven and a few times Henry Co.

 

Man these folks lost to Jaskson Southside or Northside one year in the Playoffs. Whichever it was that team had a god HIGH SCHOOL QB but he was like 5'11" or shorter. I think that was Walton and Dawson's Sr. year... 

The year you speak of, Ridgeway did make it to the semi's. They beat Jackson Northside in the quarterfinals, I sat in Halle Stadium and watched it. Then went on to play Henry County, who in turn beat up on Powell in the Championship game.  

Have been a fan of what Whitehaven has done over the past few years. But people like you make it hard for outsiders to like Whitehaven. Kind of remind me of UT fans talking about their 20 year old national chamoionship.

Dont forget that East is still looming. They beat Central by 3 td's and Whitehaven only beat them by a fg.....

The loss to Northside in the playoffs was in 2012... Walton was already at Ole Miss... playing over Dodson.... think Jordan Wilkins (SBA, small private school) has more carries than Dodson this year...

 

Mark Jr. was still at Whitehaven in 2012... He was helping us win a State Title... Produce the Stats that Mr. Wilkens has more Carries than Mark Jr.

Ok, so you saying Ridgeway has been to the Semifinals where they LOST to a Team WEST of the Tenn... So my MAIN point still exist they have yet to beat a Great/Good Team West of the Tenn River to make it to the Promise land...  :geek:

Too bad Ridgeway and Whitehaven have to play at Halle. That field is NOT in good shape. Seems like they should turf Halle like the others meaning Crump, Kirby, Whitehaven, Melrose.

 

I would think that Halle and the Fairgrounds are in line for upgrades. It just depends on where they are in the que.

The year you These folks BEAT JNS in the Quarterfinals they turned around and lost to Hendersonville in the Semis... going 13-1... Walton's Jr. season 2010-11

Ridgeway has been to the semi-finals in 2010 where they lost to Hendersonville 19-12. That was Jaylen Walton's junior year. Ridgeway has been to the QUARTER-FINALS 3 years in a row following the 2010 season. 2011 (Lost to Henry County 24-14), 2012 (Lost to Jackson Northside 45 -42), 2013 (Lost to Henry County 42-21).

Coach Sutton has been knocking on the door for quite a while now, he just has to figure out how to get over the hump. Doesn't help matters that coach Wimberly over at East is figuring things out simultanesouly in 5A coming out of Memphis.

I think what he said was Sutton is a good Coach. I agree he is. Senator you will never give credit to anyone but the Haven. It is ok I understand.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
