ChrisBurr555555
I think this is the year that the Maryville Red Rebels string of 6A State Football Titles ends at 10! If I had to pick one team and only one team to win 6A, it would likely be Blackman!

PassiveAggressive
THEM POLLS MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!
midtnmale
Polls are meaningless when a playoff system exists that accepts any team that has a remote (and I mean remote) chance of winning it all. At the end of the season, I can see a school placing a banner showing that they were ranked in the Top 25 of a national poll. But I doubt any school will place a banner displaying their First Place rank at the end of the year in the AP poll if a winning the state championship didn't go along with it. I would love to see these two teams play each other. Based on their performance so far this year, they deserve their recognition in the polls. While polls do not guarantee wins (it still has to be played on the field), I hardly see them as "meaningless". That is usually said by those not at the top of the poll. thegreatone36
Hendersonville went to 6A champiomship last year, & they weren't even close to being ranked top 10 last year. And I guarantee you they could care less about that poll, seeing that they were 6 A runner ups.

midtnmale
They would care if they were on the right side of the bracket instead of the left! Are the brackets decided by the polls? Schools put up banners with "Finals" "Semi-finals", "Quarter-finals", or "District Champs". I don't think any school put ups a banner with "4th AP Poll" . I don't recall anyone saying that schools put up banners. I think you are creating your own argument.
