Never said it wasn't. What I said was barring Maryville (to me they don't count, they are in a league of their own). Take the top team in your district this year besides Maryville (West) and take our (OR & AC) and you have a great ballgame. And historically speaking Central, Powell, and even Halls are better than even West has been historically. Up until 2010 West was good, but not real good. Powell, Halls, and Central have all fallen on hard times recently like all teams do eventually, but historically speaking those teams are real good programs. Central is closing in on 500 wins all time.

But the past doesn't really matter. In the era of the current districts (2009-present) the teams in 4AAA have been much better than the teams in 3AAA. But that's not just a knock on 3AAA, 4AAA is tougher than most districts in the state. Every year we have teams in 4AAA that are playoff caliber that don't make the playoffs because their aren't enough spots to go around. WB has had non-conference games with the top-tier teams from other districts and competed with them. Granted we lost most of those games but its still saying something when a bottom dweller from one district is able to give the top teams in another district a heck of a ball game. I believe that speaks to how tough 4AAA is and has been since '09

But, take out Maryville and you have very comparable districts. Of course you have to include Maryville, but they are what makes that district what it is. Take them out and you have West. They have been to the title game once. Powell went for us the past couple of years. Take them out and it's just another district man.

Our district is full of cupcakes if we wanna compare!

Yeah it's, but Fulton or OR can't help if the teams in their district suck or not you just have to play the games you're assigned and win. Just like WB can't help that Maryville is in their district. It is what it is. You play the games you're scheduled to play, win them and go from there. You still have to win the games you play no matter what district you are in. Who cares what district is stronger and blah blah blah. The cream of the crop always rises to the top regardless.

Not hardly. You have to acknowledge that the bottom teams in our district have competed with top teams from other districts. Can you say that about the bottom teams from 3AAA ,2AAA , 5AAA or 1AAA? There is no contest.. 4AAA is much better from top to bottom than the other districts in East Tn. You should know that better than anybody being an Oak Ridge fan. Ya'll have only been able to beat Farragut when they are doing really bad in our district and even then ya'll struggle with them.

A win is a win regardless of the struggle!

Who cares? Where were they when the playoffs when we were in the Semi's in 2010 and the QTR-Finals in 2011? Nowhere to be found. One huge reason why Farragut has beaten us recently is because we don't schedule a week 0 game and they do. That makes a whail of a difference whether anyone believes that or not. And where has this great district gotten WB? Nowhere, so what does it really matter? Still have to win the games, 91.

I have to give it to ya Govs91, I honestly think that in your mind you could find a way for WB to not only be competitive but to be able to beat the likes of Carson Newman or even UT. I believe you could spin it!

Seriously man, send that stash back to Seattle!

You would think WB has been a Big Dog in East TN historically when speaking with ol 91.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
