Dyersburg 39 WV 26 late 4th....it was 24-19 with about 8 to go in the 4th...WV can't run against Dyersburg and too many dropped passes. Dyersburg runs the ball very well and WV didn't tackle too good. Both teams will be in the playoffs...good luck to both on the way in.

Dyersburg is impressive! They have 3 different backs that can take it to the house at any given time.

How's it gonna feel Friday night when you're watching Westview celebrate another victory in your fancy new stadium and you realize you labeled your own team as "pretenders"?

Well, I wasn't able to attend the game due to a last minute work trip to Ft. Worth but from what little info I have gathered on here, Dyersburg is not a pretender. Congratulations, I hope y'all have a long and successful season.

Good win for Dyersburg against a good team, and a well coached team. I have great respect for Coach Don C.

 

 

Coach Bart Stowe and his staff are to be commended, as Dyersburg is no doubt a very young team, with a o and d line that has their moms still driving them to school. As I looked over the roster, I was in awe at the youth that contributed.

 

It appears that Coach Stowe has "established" his system and is well on his way to following in his dad's path. Stowe is not rebuilding, he has just reloaded, and this young TROJAN team appears to get better each week.

 

Dyersburg may not win any state championships, but after watching the freshmen and middle schools teams plays, I feel confident in saying that under Coach Bart Stowe, Dyersburg will have success.

 

Take away those turn overs at Crockett County, then you would have had a dog fight with a team that on paper Dyersburg should not match up with.

 

Yep Dyersburg fans, future Friday nights look bright, very bright in deed.

Rellim51 thanks for the honesty and support, both teams were good on Friday in this case and on this night Dyerburg had a few more weapons at their disposal. , and was able to use them to exploit a few weaknesses of Westview.   MG glad to see that someone finally looked at the game program and could see that the 'Trojans" are very young.  You are correct that the middle school youth league and YMCA all supportive of our county football. Many of these teams are having great seasons and are feeder systems for both the city school (DHS) and the county (that other in Tn that wears orange).  For the Trojans this was suppose to be a down year after all that we lost last year.  Everyone was talking about all the youth we had coming back, but the staff and those guys work ethic has paid dividends thus far this season. 

 

The Trojans fans are hoping that we can stay focus, and win out the rest of the season positioning us for a long run in the playoffs.  You notice we have not gotten very much respect in any of the State.  Our  getting into the playoffs and pulling some upsets might be what we need to make everyone aware that you can never count the Trojans out.
