BigDave1967
I'm not sure we can ever get back to those days. OR was just a different place in those days. A lot more kids were in the town and the town was just livelier as a whole, but I will always hold out hope. But, we may not have to get back to those days to be honest. If we can get close we will be fine because barring Maryville football around here just isn't as good as it was back then and it was much harder to get in the playoffs and advance back then because their were only 3 classes. Now it's more watered down and as I said the competition just isn't as formidable. Central was a powerhouse in those days and Halls was real good in those days, too. Clinton was even a lot better in those days. Much stiffer competition in those days in these parts. OR is on the way back but competition is much stiffer than it was in the day. Hopefully someday soon OR will be playing in the Blue Cross Bowl.
SweetScience
OR is on the way back but competition is much stiffer than it was in the day. Hopefully someday soon OR will be playing in the Blue Cross Bowl. I disagree. Competition was a lot stiffer in those days in my opinion. Their is no team comparable to Knox Central in those days except for Maryville and Fulton and we don't even have to play either of those in our respective class. BigDave1967
He sure did. I remember that game well. He was a great one for Paducah. I was out raking leaves(listening to the game on my Walkman) and about broke the rake after that td run!

Governm
Big Ed's pizza is overrated imo. I mean it's good, but what pizza joint isn't good?

Governm
It is though. Don't get me wrong it's good pizza, but what pizza place isn't good? It's always crowded and it's expensive as heck. The last time I went in there was before the Oak Ridge/Science Hill game was in 2012. I was by myself and got a small pizza and drink and spent over 15$. The other thing that stinks about big ed's is they don't have a diverse menu. If you go to any other pizza place in the country you can get salads, chicken wings, and bread sticks/cheesy bread but not at Big Ed's. They just have pizza on paper plates.
