Madison County has open enrollment. McNairy County has open enrollment. Both counties and ALL schools should have the 1.8 multiplier! There is absolutely NO difference in private school "visiting" and open zone "visiting". Our sales pitch is this, " we would love to have you at TCA BUT oh its going to cost you 8k per year. Normally that ends the conversation. Open enrollment schools basically say, " we would love to have you and ITS Free, you just have to provide your own transportation!" Tell me how that's fair. If they have the multiplier then all is fair. What happened to the good ole days when you went to school in the community you live in?

if you live in Ramer, You have to drive by Mcnairy to get to adamsville. Surely you can acknowledge the huge advantage Adamsville has by getting Football Players from all over the county. Or are you like the Union City folks that pretend they are just a little ol single A school doing things the right way. You both know the advantages you exploit and yet you both will complain about private schools that recruit. If NCS beats Adamsville or Union city this year they will cry all the way back to west tn about how NCS recruits. Private School recruiting is no different than open zone recruiting.

Most all of the UC faithful don't give a rip whether their opponent supposedly recruits or not. I do think most of us would like to be playing in 2A or 3A but we can't seem to recruit, I mean persuade, more students to come here. Used to have around 600 students in high school about 30 years ago, but now it is down to 400. We'll just make the most with what we've got.

what everybody forgets in the private discussion is if you dont want the kid all you gotta do is make it so they cant afford it.  In public schools you dont have that option.  Compare the percentage of atheletes to the total male population of a private school and the percentage of atheletes to the male population in public schools.  It doesnt matter which class you choose the private schools percentages are always drastically higher.

That is an extremely weak response. Population has absolutely nothing to do with it. Madison county has 10 high schools. Divide that by 90,000 and you have 9k people per school. Mcnairy has 26k people divided by 2 schools. You evidentially didn't have Mr Bruce in Advance Math at Adamsville! He was a great teacher! Almost as good as Curry Hendrix at MCHS a!
