I expect Basin to end up in quad 1. That's where we always end up under this system. However, other than traveling, the road appears to be easier in quad 2.

It will likely be Sunbright or Midway that will get shifted to Quad 2.  However, a Midway loss and Jo Byrns win may bump them out.

The way the map shows now the most western team is Godonsville. They might be the quad 2 team that goes to quad 1. If that's the case it might look like this.

1. Monterey

2. Copper Basin

3. South Pitt

4. Oakdale

5. Red Boiling

6. Clay Co

Quad 2 is usually tough, but this year Im glad to be there if it shapes up like this.

Yeah I feel like getting a bye at 6-4 is crazy but it is what it is. 2012 Basin was 7-3 didn't get a bye and 2010 8-1 and didn't get a bye. But all that is is what others in your quad have done and how they compare to your record. Edited by BasinAlum

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
