I've not heard anything about what's going on at OS at all. I was pretty shocked when I started hearing scores of their games this season.

That place is in shambles. They had about 6 kids quit/kicked off the team the week after Oakdale. They are very very bad off and only had about 28 kids to start the year. Playing a ton of freshman right now and are just not very good.

Pujo I think we got a batch of them Roane Mountain stripes last night. Everybody was worried about the rain yesterday but we didn't think it'd be raining yellar flags. Terrible calls on both teams & just as many equally bad no calls for both sides. I've not looked at penalty stats yet but I'm willing to bet last night will be a 5 or maybe even a 10 year high for us. Never saw an oakdale team get flagged that much either as I can recall. Don't think it really affected the game but they were so bad that neither team really had a chance to get rolling even when having success. Sure hope it's better next week.

I think the bobcats are struggling, I look to get clicking again next Friday.

Hard to get a rhythem in games like that,we have ALOT of um but last night was the exception.NG was a testy bunch and I think they ticked the refs off.

Ive been called worse NBL.It was just a little humor. Its no secret OZ is a bad team this yr.Heck CF put 66 on them,Oneida is a much better team, although i dont see tbe Oneida staff putting more than about 45 on the score board.Good luck to you and Jackets tho. Edited by orngnblk

I was always taught to respect every opponent.

 I agree.

I don't understand why the defense is so bad.  Defense used to be OS's strength.  My son played for OS more than 10 years ago, and shut-outs were not unusual. In fact both years he played, OS did great.  I especially remember the 30 - 0 score against Alcoa, but also other schools like Lenoir City were shut out....and Harriman...and Rockwood.  I'm not from OS, and I haven't really followed them much lately (Oak Ridge is my team), but I feel really bad for them this year.  I do know they are playing a majority of Freshman though.  I'm still puzzled about the poor performance by the defense.

O&B has alot of reason to hate Coalfield. The last three playoffs appearances have been owned by the jackets.

Those are three good reasons. My dislike for Coalfield is a thirty year old dislike unlike some others on here i played in this rivalry and have had two sons go thru it also. Its no secret i dont care for the coaching staff at Coalfield the main reason is the scrimmage we had at GB 2010.A huge fight broke out and the staff from CHS was the main reason. The officials had to physically remove the coaches from the field and the things that were said that came directly from the coaches mouth was uncalled for.Not only that look at their track record as a sports program.Last yr kid gets ejected for throwing punches in our first game.Yr before against Pitt another kid trying to fight and the Lookout Valley fiasco.Baseball another kid trying to hit an umpire. This yrs team seems to be doing alot better so far so maybe they are trying to clean it up.Its not just playoff losses we had as much of a hand in those losses as Coalfield but it is what it is.
