District 3-AAA Tournament

Here is this year's District 3-AAA tournament schedule, as of this morning. With all of the rain, I'm guessing all of tomorrow's games will be postponed to Monday.

 

Top half of bracket

Oak Ridge @ Clinton - Saturday (11:00am)

-OR/Clinton winner plays Karns on Tuesday (OR hosts if they win, Karns hosts if OR loses)

 

Bottom half of bracket

Central @ Powell - Saturday (11:00am)

Anderson Co @ Halls - Saturday (11:00am)

-Winners play on Tuesday (Powell hosts if they win, AC/Halls winner hosts if Powell loses)

 

Championship game is scheduled for Thursday.

Powell beat Central this morning 9-0.

Halls downed AC, so Powell will host Halls Tuesday at 6. We'll see if the weather holds out.

The sad thing about District 3 is that you've always got either Farragut, Maryville, or Hardin Valley in regions.

Yup, it's not very often that a District 3 team has had success in the regionals against District 4. Oak Ridge has done it a few times, but that's about it.

District 4-AAA semifinals are set - Hardin Valley will host Farragut, while Maryville will host Bearden. Both games are scheduled for Tuesday at 7; with the weather forecast, I wouldn't be surprised to see both games moved to Wednesday.

Wow, surprised to hear Maryville go down against Bearden. They were having an impressive season.
