OK....there is some merit to what you are saying...but why would a team that can run the ball with the fullback running game they have, pass on first down?

 

I mean, you have a 2 out of 3 chance of finding yourself in 2nd and 10 plus, but by running on first down, from what I have seen this year, you are in a 2nd and 3-6 yd situation. That seems to be the passing down that I would mix it up. But why put yourself in 2nd and long, and now, as you say, everyone knows you have to throw?

I'm not saying to pass on every 1st down but you need to every once and a while. If you have watched Motown play this season you should notice that the other team has 10 guys in the box. You need to throw every once a while to get the extra guys out of the box then, the full back can run for several yards again. Notice the full back didn't have a good game against Greenbriar because they put 10 in the box. Just my opinion.

Portland is a Garden of Eden compared to Westmoreland.

Westmoreland is head and shoulders over Lafayette.

Lafayette is superior over their neighbor Red Boiling Springs.

Red Boiling Springs looks back toward the west and towers over Goodpasture.  Way to Go Bulldogs.

I see what you are saying roller.  I don't disagree.  Hopefully both the running and passing game will be at its best, and it should be with everyone healthy and being in week 7 of the season. Then it won't matter what is called.
