Gerry Bertier's 2015 3A District Suggestion

So when did that change at the last meeting they had?

 

It is a whole new system they are putting into place. Top 32 teams in student population will make the 6a class with every team making the playoffs. Then classes 1a-5a will go back to the old 8 region system, top 4 in each region make the playoffs.

First, I don't think the TSSAA realize the kind of mess they have gotten themselves in. Redistricting will not be an easy task because teams are so spread out. If I was in charge of the TSSAA this is the districts I would suggest. Some things you will notice is that districts will not be even. This could change if some teams elect to move up. If you have any suggestions please share, these are just my opinions.

This would make sense how seeing as most of teams are middle Tn teams. I thnk Grundy and Sequatchie are a far stretch. But with TSSAA you never know

between Sequatchie, Grundy, and Signal....two will have to come north. To old 8aa team, signal will be simular to having to deal with LA the last few years.

If you moving for logistical reason you would move Harpeth.

They have to put them in 4A, they would not be allowed to play in a 3A region because only region games determine who makes the playoffs.

could you do one for 2A? I'm wondering about Waverly... I'm assuming Waverly Central, Loretto, Hickman County, Riverside, Adamsville, Scott's hill, and/or Forrest? Just wondering lol

I really don't think they will for the simple reason of time zones but you never know with the TSSAA. I think York belongs where I have them.

No inside connection at all. I just use the criteria set by the TSSAA and out the information out there. Since the TSSAA does a terrible job of informing all those involved I thought I would. It is not opinion but based on facts.
