What postion is he playing ..dang i know we got some good kids a coming up , but he could be a player for db ! It reminds me of a kid in the late 80s that was in 8th grade that was 6'9 wore size 18 shoe and when we walked onto a football field in 8th grade kids would just drop a jaw , but he never played just to darn clumsy- the kid ur talking about dont sound clumsy..good to hear!

Another 9th grader for DB has more God given tools then any player that I've seen at DB in years.I talked with him the other day and told him, If I had a son with his size and natural ability, D1 coaches would walk past the varsity to watch him and if he works like my middle son did, the sky is the limit. Also, how rare it is to make money, so get those grades for his future. This young man is about 6'5 around 280 and has great feet and hand work.Big Darrian hit a baseball over 400 feet in the 8th grade as well !

Darn straight "proud of kingsport and proud of the indians " oh...and darn proud of these kids that work their tail off to play/start to compete/win and to give us ole fans some Excitment in the stands ! You can brag about someone when you can back it up !!

KingIndian you create threads just to talk about your young players haha. Nothing wrong with having pride, though.

is he in 9th now ...that size should be playing varsity now

He has been hurt for a few weeks but almost ready to go.Plenty of time for those guys in the 9th if the coaches bring them up or wait. That is,unless they go in a different direction and don't play football at all.A whole lot of guys might play basketball, baseball or wrestle and you just never know what they will do at this point..

Tk HIll...... if you dont know his name you better find out.. he played 3 games as a freshman his first game as a starter he went for 485 total yds  (250 rushing an the rest was returns yards)with 4 tds, he had  with a td called back on a kick return which would of gave him 5  an had 500+ yards an 6 tds he was on pace for a 1000 before injury ended his freshman season an now as a sophomore he leads the Big 7 conference (including Sh DB an TH) with 147 carries  1063 yards with two games to play. He is also  second in the league in touchdowns with 13 ..DB did Contain him but he only had 6 carries but every game he has went over 110+ and this is all behind a mediocre line if he had a better Oline he would be pushing 2000 give or take an he has played quality Northeast tn opponents..By his senior yr this will be a statewide name.. look out for Tk hill in 5a football from northeast tn...

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
