Clarksville Rossview visits the SHS Yellow Jackets in a revenge game for the Jackets.  The Clarksville Rossview Hawks ran the score up on the Jackets last year.  Clarksville Rossview scored their last touchdown with no time on the clock to defeat the Jackets by over 60 points for the WORST defeat in our program's history.  I am sure the Coaches Wilson will remember this and have this year's version ready to play.  This will be an interesting game with the winner claiming second place in the district behind the Big Red of Henry County.

The Jackets are very capable of winning this game but it will not be easy. Rossview is very similar to SHS in that they run the spread type offense primarily w/ a running QB. RHS also has the same kind of athletes who are fast/quick, 1 mistake and they will take it to the house. RHS I would say has a little more size in the lines but from what I have seen the Jackets are more physical and have better over-all line play on both sides.....

A very motivated Jacket squad at home should be able to get it done.....

Jackets take it 35-31

I havent seen Clarksville Rossview play.  This will be the only time i will see them this year.  I refuse to give my money to that program through gate revenues

Kevin38 is right. If my memory serves me correctly Rossview's scoring came on huge plays against us. They are very fast. If Springfield can stop the "huge plays" and play like they have been playing they will win by two scores. Springville is a great team!!!!

Go Patriots!!!!

thanks Red Blood.  since you have played against both of us he can make a good judgement.  I expect emotions to be very high Friday night

No such team as "Clarksville Rossview" they are just Rossview.

You can bet that every other team in the City is routing against them on Friday Nights. And not just because they have had a decent team the last two years (But still have Never won a play-off game), but because they are a program that projects an attitude of arrogance that most find offensive.

"Go Jackets"

Thanks for the correction.  If it irritates Rossview I may still keep calling them that.  Last statement is well stated.  I was disappointed when their coaches wouldn't shake hands with our coaches after the game last year. They handed us the worse defeat in the history of our storied program and then wouldn't extend their hands at the games end.  The Coaches Wilson are great guys and our whole coaching staff  is respectful of our opponents in victory and defeat.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
