How does the seeding work for quads

Once your assigned to a quad based upon geographic location? Do district champs get automatic 1 or 2 seed or does it strictly done by total wins or what? In 1A who gets byes?

All teams put in quad based on geography starting in the east. Once all teams are decided and in quads all district champs are seeded then any runners up are seeded then the wildcards. In each group firts thing is overall wins

And they don't care who's in what quad. I've seen years with 4 district champs in one quad and 1 in another.

So finishing 1st or 2nd in a district only ensures you make the playoffs, it does not automatically get you a first round bye? It goes by overall wins?. So you could finish 2nd in a district and be seeded higher that a district champ?

No.  All district champions are seeded first, then the second place teams are seeded, then wildcards if any

So a 6-4 district champ would be a higher seed than a 9-1 district runner up? Just an example? Sorry for so many questions just trying to figure out the mess

yes you are correct a 6-4 champ would get higher seed than a 9=1 runner-up
