Mount Juliet vs Oakland

The score predictions come from offense scoring a few times and defense has been scoring a couple of times. Most of the year the defense has averaged giving up a touchdown per game at the most. That's where the 40-50 to 7 predictions are at. The only shoot out we had in scoring with another team was Blackman in the first half. They got a touchdown and we didn't coming up short in the second half. The offense and defense continue to improve every week. Hope everyone makes it safely to the games.

Oakland's D is giving up a whopping 11.7 points a game. That is including the game against Blackman. Their shedule hasn't exactly been a cupcake menu either. Blackman, Riverdale, Baylor, Arlington. So yes MJ is going to have their hands full on both sides of the ball. If MJ is to win, they will have to play as near to perfect on offense as possible and create multiple turnovers on defense that result in points (TDs). So the question is has MJ played a near perfect game offensively and created multiple turnovers on defense (in a single game) that resulted in points this year against a team as loaded as Oakland? You also have to hope that Oakland comes out and lays an egg like they did against Lavergne a couple of years ago. They have started slow in a few games this year but they have scored points in a hurry against some pretty good defenses. Every game starts 0-0. But what will MJ do differently to make sure that the score tips in their direction when last second ticks off the clock. Only one team has done that this season? Blackman. It can be done. But you will have to play the best game that you have played all season with help from Oakland.

That was not a particularly good Oakland team that lost at LaVergne (3 years ago?) they had tons of injuries and got screwed a couple of times early in the game on ridiculous pass interference calls by a 99 year old back judge with cataracts.  LaVergne at the time wasn't so hot either.  They had a major multi-year district losing streak going.

MJ is 5-5 which includes wins over Lebanon and Portland this season?  They played three good teams (Blackman, Hendersonville and Centennial) and gave up a total of over 150 points total in those three.

If there is anything not accurate about MJ's record or scores there, please feel free to set the record straight.  I'm pretty sure those numbers are spot on.
