Here's my thoughts on this game and what I think north needs to do to beat the south. Obviously don't fumble four times in a row when up 21! North needs to control the line and their lineman will have to play disciplined football or south will get a run game going. Blitz a corner and linebacker every play and get pressure on souths qb, he don't throw good on the run. Norths defensive tackles must block the guards and keep the linebackers clean. On offense just run right at them and try to control the clock, but get your first downs. Three and outs are as bad as turnovers, you give south very many chances and they will score. South can be very explosive when they get rolling and their defense hasn't been given enough credit, they are much better than last year. I'm pulling for the north in hopes they and WC can win and get the third round back at WC. Good luck to all!

I just read a good article concerning Columbia Academy on this upcoming game here......

http://m.columbiadailyherald.com/sports/preps/bulldogs-defense-perfectly-overlooked

I read the article. Same old stuff. It was good if your a Columbia Academy fan and wanted to read some home cooking before the game. We have the same type articles in our local paper that flatter Clarksville Academy. Neither real provide any real insite into the game itself. No real Xs or Os. This game will be about which team's defense can stop the others offense. CA north offensive game plan is based upon multiple players scoring and contributing. You will not be able to win by just stopping one aspect of the game or one player. We have played pretty good defense all year. We hope to have rotating players in your backfield all night putting pressure the QB. Someone earlier said that we can't play defense against anyone with a pulse. Boy are they way off. The players we got back last week for the Huntland game really helped. I know CA south has a good QB and WR. I also know the kicker has a shot of winning 1A kicker of year. We got a good QB, WR's and RB' too. We also got a pretty good set of kickers ourself. I think this game will be a battle and that we match up pretty well. Good luck to both teams and pray for an injury free game.

I think I did say "concerning Columbia Academy" didn't I? Why would you be in any form of regret in it not talking about the up coming game or high-lighting Clarksville Aca.?

I don't happen to read too many articles that ever writes on the X's and O's of games... Like you pointed out most articles are written by local papers on their respected H.S. teams.... The actual points in these types of articles for fans like us to share is not the details of/about the game but pretty much what the players/coaches are quoted in thoughts of themselves and what their outlooks are.

By all means, feel free to post a link from some of your local papers articles. Some of us might want to see the quotes of players/coaches and their mindset/thoughts on their season and upcoming game.

I promise I will not be in any form of regret if the pros of ESPN are not X-ing and O-ing a preview of the game in the article....lol...:thumb:

Now that's what I'm talking about :thumb:.

Coach Hood is absolutely correct. Clarksville turns the ball over... They will lose for sure.

Yep, if Clarksville Academy turns the ball over 4 times, chances are pretty good that we lose.  I don't expect 4 turnovers, but I do expect a good game.

I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
