pb40nc
I see that Maryville has a good football program. Can someone fill me in on some others that compare academically and athletically?
ChattanoogaFBFan
I see that Maryville has a good football program. Can someone fill me in on some others that compare academically and athletically?I can't speak for academics of some of these schools but as far as other area powerhouses in Knox and Blount County. Alcoa, Knox West, Fulton, Webb School, CAK, Knox Catholic, and even though Farragut and Bearden have been down lately. They both have proud football histories. Oak Ridge in Anderson County also a powerhouse. Edited November 10, 2014 by ChattanoogaFBFan

GIJoe
Maryville - Great Academics, great community support, football program speaks for itself, other sports are very competitive, great feeder programs that build champions, small town feel also. Oak Ridge -Academically 1 of top public schools in the nation yearly, football programs great tradition and one historically top programs in the state, back on the rise with participation and athletes coming out, has one of 2017 top WR (Tee Higgins) in the nation (#4 in a lot of recruiting sites) all athletics (basketball, track, cross country, swimming, etc.), facilities, and small town feel. Those two are top (could add the private schools but they cost $$$$) Listed in order Webb Catholic CAK Grace
barb
Go ahead and drive Northeast and look at Greeneville!!!
GIJoe
Loudon smaller schools but good academics and athletics with a lot of tradition and community support. Alcoa small school also. Legendary coach in football. Football Program speaks for itself. As someone said earlier can't go wrong. Knox County - Some good schools but politics right now between schools and county government is not very good. With that said there are some good schools that fit academically and athletically. West HS Farragut HS Hardin Valley HS
